Scribe Dave Callaham Tapped To Pen The Next ‘Godzilla and Kong’ Sequel Movie

Legendary released its next film in the Monsterverse series, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, earlier this year. The film did well enough to quickly be given the green light for a sequel. That movie followed previous installments, including Godzilla, Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and Godzilla vs. Kong. Also, the highly acclaimed Apple TV+ series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters.

A report has revealed that screenwriter Dave Callaham has been tapped to pen the next Godzilla/Kong movie. Callham is best known for writing high-profile blockbusters such as Shang-Chi, Wonder Woman 1984, and Zombieland: Double Tap. He also has a story credit on the original 2014 Godzilla movie. Director Adam Wingard is expected to return and has always envisioned his Godzilla/Kong films as their own trilogy.
