Screenwriter Nic Pizzolatto Helped With Minor Rewrites on Marvel Studios ‘Blade’

Today, The Hollywood Reporter announced that screenwriter Nic Pizzolatto helped pen minor rewrites on Marvel Studios upcoming Blade movie. Nic Pizzolatto is best known for creating the crime thriller anthology series, True Detective. Blade star Mahershala Ali starred in the third season of True Detective.

The original screenplay was written by Michael Starrbury, but these rewrites were only a few weeks long and will not delay production again. Production is expected to begin in late May from director Yann Demange. Blade is also rumored to be the MCU’s first hard-R film besides Deadpool 3.

Blade will hit theaters on September 6th, 2024
