Today, a report announced that British actor Nicholas Hoult has joined the growing cast of HBO’s Harry Potter season 2. Holt recently appeared in DC Studios’ Superman as Lex Luthor. He is set to star as the goofy teacher Gilderoy Lockhart in the series’ second season. Kenneth Branagh played the character in the original film based on The Chamber of Secrets. He joins the three returning heroes: Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Alastair Stout as Harry’s best friend Ron Weasley, and Arabella Stanton as bookworm Hermione Granger. Production on season 2 begins this fall back in Leavesden, UK.
