Today, a new report announced that British actor Kit Harrington has replaced Nicholas Hault as Gilderoy Lockhart in Harry Potter season 2. Hault was forced out of the series due to a scheduling conflict with two other projects he was already attached to. Harrington is best known for his role as Jon Snow in HBO’s original Game of Thrones series and also appeared in Marvel Studios’ The Eternals. He voiced Gilderoy Lockhart in Audible’s Harry Potter audiobook adaptation and was thrilled to reprise the role in live action. Production on season 2 begins later this fall in the UK.
