Marvel Studios is in full swing, looking to cast their version of the X-Men in the upcoming film. It’s also rumored that Sadie Sink is expected to be revealed as Jean Grey in Spider-Man: Brand New Day; the rest of the characters have yet to be revealed or cast. Today, the 50/50 scooper account of @MyTimeToShine revealed on Twitter that Adam Driver (Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker) is up for a villain role in X-Men. Many might think it could be a brand new villain like Mr. Sinister. However, Apoc Horseman, formally of Nexus Point News, corroborated the story and said it would be for the role of Magneto. Actor Patrick Wilson (Aquaman, Insideous) has been rumored for the role of Professor X over the last several weeks. He would obviously be based on the comic-accurate American version compared to the British version seen on film.

Many fans were hoping Marvel might bring back James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender to play newer versions of Professor X and Magneto. Given their time playing the characters in the First Class timeline throughout the 2010’s and being closer to their actual age this time around. However, it looks like they are going to do a full reboot following Avengers: Secret Wars and leave everything with the Fox Universe behind. The casting is still rumored, and the studio has officially announced nothing.
X-Men reboot has no set release date
