Today, Amazon Studios announced that actor Ryan Hurst has been cast as Kratos in Prime Video’s upcoming live-action God of War TV series. Hurst is best known for appearing in Sons of Anarchy, The Outsiders, and The Walking Dead. Ironically, he also played Thor in the video game version of God of War Ragnarok. Production begins this April in Vancouver under the working title Anheim Realm. The show will actually film an entire year and film seasons 1 and 2 back-to-back.
