Lionsgate Confirms Elle Fanning as Effie Trinket in ‘The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping’

Today, Lionsgate announced that actress Elle Fanning has joined the ever-growing cast of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. She is set to play a younger Effie Trinket, originally played by Elizabeth Banks. Fanning was first rumored for the role last month before being confirmed today.

She is best known for appearing in Hulu’s The Great, last year’s A Complete Unknown, and Predator: Badlands later this summer. A separate report by The Hollywood Reporter announces that two upcoming actresses, Molly McCann and Iona Bell, have joined the cast as Louella and her lookalike, Lou Lou. Production begins this July in Germany.
