Today, Lucasfilm announced it will not renew The Acolyte for a second season on Disney+. Many Star Wars fans were intrigued by the first story set outside the traditional Skywalker storyline. However, due to the lower viewership numbers, Disney has opted not to renew the show. This is unfortunate as the series was always destined to be a two-part story following the finale events. As the two leading twins, Mai & Osha, have switched sides and now Mai is going to be trained by the Jedi while the Sith, Qimir, trains Osha. The finale episode also teases the first live-action introduction of Darth Plagueis.
