Today, a report has revealed that director Yann Demange has exited the upcoming Blade reboot by Marvel Studios. The report states that he actually left a while ago, which could have been when Michael Green took over writing duties from Michael Starrbury and Nic Pizzolatto’s previous drafts. Eric Pearson is currently helping touch up the script after working on Fantastic Four and Black Widow. He is the second director to leave the project due to scheduling conflicts after Bassam Tariq. The creative team is more focused on getting the character right instead of pushing out the movie faster. Mahershala Ali is still attached to star in the film. He may appear in the rumored Midnight Sons film, which is expected to be a follow-up to Blade. Production is still scheduled for this fall in the UK.
Blade is still scheduled to hit theaters on November 7, 2025
