Sony Pictures has been hard at work developing several Spider-Man universe shows alongside Amazon Prime. The two were working with Across the Spider-Verse producers Chris Miller & Phil Lord and shouldn’t be confused with the creative teams behind the recent blunders Morbius and Madame Web. According to a report, Nicholas Cage has entered talks to return and play the live-action version of Spider-Man: Noir. The character hit mainstream media in 2018’s Into the Spider-Verse, also voiced by Cage. It’s unknown if Cage will play Parker or just lend his voice and have a stunt double act out the role, much like Pedro Pascal in The Mandalorian.

Later in the report, it was announced that a complete creative overhaul of Silk: Spider Society has also occurred. Angela Kang will stay on to showrun, but the entire writer’s room has been let go. The series will now be written and target the male demographic more than before. This is worrisome, considering the character’s comic book origin under writer Dan Slott has been criticized greatly in the past.

Spider-Man: Noir and Silk: Spider Society will both stream exclusively on Amazon Prime
