Today, Netflix announces they are developing a movie based on Bioshock. The classic Xbox 360 and PS3 game was recently remastered for next-gen consoles. The streaming service has with Take-Two Interactive and Vertigo Entertainment to develop the film. No writer or director is attached as the deal took over a year to close. Director Gore Verbinski a decade ago tried developing a feature film based on the game with star Logan Lerman. The film was going to be rated R but due to budget issues, the studio canceled the film.
Bioshock has no set release date
