Today, our friend Daniel Ritchman revealed that from a recent casting listing for the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ series; the series will include a young Luke Skywalker. While many hardcore fans only see Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker over the past several decades. It would make sense for a younger version of the character to appear in the series. As Obi-Wan’s sole mission after landing on Tatooine is the protection of Luke from the Empire. How big the role is in the show remains to be seen but he could very well be a background character. Ewan McGregor will return to star as the lone Jedi in the upcoming streaming series.

It would also make sense for a young Leia to possibly appear as well. While Obi-Wan is not tasked in protecting Leia while she lives on Alderaan. They could have a cameo scene where Bail Organa mentions Obi-Wan to Leia. As Leia already knows who Obi-Wan is at the start of A New Hope. Fans have been fancasting Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown as a young Leia for many years now. However, with the recent passing of Carrie Fisher in 2016 we may not see another actress take on the role for a while.

Obi-Wan Kenobi will begin filming summer 2020; stream exclusively on Disney+ in 2021
