Last summer, we at Knight Edge Media were the first to discover that a Mr. Terrific copyright listing had been submitted by DC Studios following the release of Superman. The character had a breakout performance by actor Edi Gathegi in the film, and we speculated it could be for a potential TV series on HBO Max. Now, a new report has confirmed that screenwriter Allan Heinberg has been tapped to pen the pilot for the series. Heinberg is best known for his work on Netflix’s The Sandman TV series and writing several Young Avengers comics. This will also be the second series to spin off from the film, following the Jimmy Olsen investigative crime series. The series has not been officially greenlit by the studio for production.
